@ Basement STACEY HOTWAXX HALE, KILOPATRAH JONES, DENNIS FREE After a year-long hiatus, Dweller returns in 2026. The NY-based festival books exclusively Black artists, showcasing some of the most groundbreaking and exciting artists in electronic music today. Since its launch in 2019, each edition has been a major highlight of the year, a source of inspiration that resonates throughout the community and dance music underground. BASEMENT is proud to present back-to-back full-club takeovers on February 20th and 21st.
The first night is headlined by Parisian powerhouse François X. An absolutely essential force in his hometown, François X has played a major role in the French capital’s techno renaissance. While drawing inspiration from the grittier side of American electronic music, he is able to find a sweet spot where immaculate craft interlaces with potent urgency. “Techno has always been about breaking rules,” he once said. “For me, it’s about capturing the raw motion of life, sweat, emotion, and that pulse that connects us all.” Cotton returns to the room. Over the last half decade and change, the NY-based artist has made her mark. Stretching between all-out blistering mayhem and deep sonic exploration - in her own words,” soft music for the hard times” - her sets are resoundingly personal and expressive. Juno makes their BASEMENT debut. As a community leader, they are playing a key role in shaping the city’s culture. But Juno is more than just a behind-the-scenes activist. Their vinyl-heavy DJ sets overflow with expressive power and explosive energy. Drawing from the lineage of high speed Detroit techno and Midwest rave, Juno’s is an unapologetic heir to some of dance music’s most vital lineages.
“The godmother of house music,” Stacey Hotwaxx Hale, steps up in STUDIO. A DJ since the late ‘70s, Hale learned the craft at a time when the practice of beatmatching was still in its infancy. She has evolved with the times, answering the call of the dance floor with indelible soul and pure, unfettered joy. A true virtuoso and pioneer, Hale has helped to define the craft for generations. Kilopatrah Jones is an artist whose work shows a great affinity with Hale’s. One of the standout ambassadors of house music in the US today, Jones stands out for their remarkable fluidity and unstoppable charisma behind the decks. You can tell they love every track, and they make you love them too. Dennis Free cranks up the energy. The Level III co-founder moves between pumping house, 140 bpm sounds and fiery, percussive minimalism. Free draws liberally on his multicultural background, evoking a dialog between genres that spans eras and continents; “Oakland gave me that raw, bass-driven, community energy, while New York sharpened my sense of pace and experimentation. My African roots show up in rhythm and percussion, and my Chinese background and culture, which is grounded in peace and calm, comes through in the balance.” | Price TBA

@ Basement KEVIN AVIANCE, MISTER WALLACE, STERLING JUAN DIAZ After a year-long hiatus, Dweller returns in 2026.
Dweller’s second night at the venue represents multiple generations of visionary Black techno and house. DJ Bone headlines BASEMENT. One of the greatest master technicians to ever grace the decks, the Detroit artist is an avowed ambassador to his hometown’s inimitable soul and innovative spirit. As a producer, Bone put his own stamp on the template set by key artists like Underground Resistance and Los Hermanos; a classic DJ Bone track can bring in soaring, interstellar pads, grainy vocal samples, glittery arpeggiations or a simple, hypnotic loop. But what never changes is his thundering percussion. Focused, direct and impossible to ignore, Bone embodies the essence of techno. Or, as Livity Sound’s Kowton once said, his music is “How I imagine the future will sound.” Mutagenix - the duo of Huey Mnemonic and D. Strange - join. Both artists are important figures in the midwest electronic underground. Mnemonic is based in Detroit, where he has studied under UR’s “Mad” Mike Banks, and Strange is rooted in Chicago. Their collaboration builds on years of explorations of techno’s deepest waters. Bapari returns from LA. An artist whose output is marked by fearless growth, Bapari moves from strength to strength, through wrought club monsters to elegant vocal-led downbeat. For this night, she delivers a special techno set.
Kevin Aviance headlines STUDIO. An icon of NY’s ‘90s club culture, Aviance made his mark on ballroom with tracks like “Cunty” and “Rhythm Is My Bitch” - some of the most ferocious slices of vocal-led house ever put to tape. Remerging in recent years, Aviance’s core magnetism is in full form. A run of studio collaborations, including releases with Honey Dijon and EPs on Nervous Records, pick up where Aviance left off, with tough house rhythms and huge moments of anthemic power. Chicago’s Mister Wallace joins. The FUTUREHOOD founder trades in unalloyed grit, bringing a confrontational swagger to everything he does. Rapping over his own perfectly-raw club tracks, Wallace fuses stark horror-hop with ballroom’s thundering urgency. Sterling Juan Diaz has become a regular face at STUDIO and across New York. Diaz fuses dense, percussive power with fluid, grooving club tracks, and it’s this indelible mix of raw energy and sleek power that has made him an essential voice in the city’s underground. | Price TBA

@ Dead Letter No.9 L3NI, Gaspar Muniz Two rooms, one night rooted in house music and global rhythm.
Dead Letter No. 9 welcomes L3NI and Marcus Logan for a CARGO takeover built for movement, depth, and connection.
L3NI is a Brooklyn-based DJ and producer whose sets draw from Chicago and New York house while expanding into soulful grooves, broken rhythms, and high-energy club music. Classically trained as a pianist and shaped by her work as a mixing and mastering engineer, her approach is precise, immersive, and deeply intentional.
Joining her is Marcus Logan, a multidisciplinary creative whose DJ sets move across broken beat, baile funk, jazz, soul, funk, world, and house. Inspired by sounds from Chicago, New York, the UK, South Africa, Brazil, and Nigeria, his selections center global storytelling and overlooked gems that connect cultures.
In the Foyer, Seb Hall and Gaspar Muniz hold it down all night. Seb with hardware-driven house and disco, Gaspar with vinyl-rooted, world-leaning dance floor selections from open to close. | From $0.00

@ Basement MADWOMAN, MOHAJER, WORD OF COMMAND, DJ CLONE FIST kicks off their first night of 2026 with a belter. Stockholm-via-Berlin phenom madwoman returns to the room. She’s an artist renowned for her fusion of mercurial depth with granite-thick percussion, and you can tell from her titles alone: madwoman’s debut LP is named “Psychedelic Force,” and that term could double as a mission statement. Across releases on labels like BPitch Berlin and The Brvtalist, madwoman has staked her claim on modern techno, pursuing a fusion of mercurial depth and hard-edged, steely weight. Fast Forward mainstay Mohajer returns to the club. The MP3 club night founder has been blazing a trail across Europe and the world. The Swedish-born producer has a gritty edge that cannot be denied. “It all started when I was 14 in my punk rock era,” she admitted in an interview. Some things never change. Residents Word of Command and DJ Clone take up their posts alongside her. In their tenure as organizers and residents, each has established themselves as a selector of devastating power. And each embodies the twin poles of transgression and fun espoused by the series, leveraging full throttle, noise-caked techno on one hand and surprising twists on the other.
London’s rave-revivalist Angel D’lite makes their debut. A force in their hometown, D’lite has gained renown as a dancefloor-whisperer with a unique ear. “A lot of my friends say that I have a talent for finding tunes that are really on the cusp, you know?” they told RA. “That are a bit like, 'Is this awful or is this actually incredible?'" D’lite co-organizes the Temple of Dreams party alongside Eris Drew, curating a free space for the joyously unhinged, manically grooving and ecstatic across all genre lines. State of Bliss’ Ian Crane returns to the room to do what he does best. Crane has become a regular face in STUDIO, and with good reason. He’s particularly well-suited to the ethos of the room, offering a fresh perspective on buoyant house and its many offspring. “High-energy, rhythm-driven pressure” - that’s how Josh Steers describes his sets. Splitting his time between CDMX and NYC, with a touring schedule that spans the globe, Steers weaves thundering club sounds from across both hemispheres into a single unified vision. | Price TBA

@ Knockdown Center (Maspeth) PEACHESMODEL/ACTRIZ 2.28 Peaches returns to Knockdown Center with her "No Lube, So Rude" tour. The electroclash pioneer is one of the great queer icons and provocateurs of the 21st century; her mixture of in-your-face raunch and ultra-catchy club hooks has resulted in a truly definitive, top-to-bottom NSFW discography. This tour is showcasing her first new work since 2015's "Rub," and if the cultural landscape has shifted drastically since then, Peaches' message of undaunted liberation is only more timely. | -- 21

@ Dead Letter No.9 Dancers to the front!
Saturday, Feb 28th, Dead Letter welcomes an all-star lineup built to keep the floor moving all night.
Freak POV (10PM–12AM) opens CARGO with sweat-forward, rave-leaning energy. A New Orleans–based DJ pulling from techno, house, ballroom, jungle, UKG, baile funk, acid, and bold vocal edits, Freak POV builds momentum, release, and real movement. A former force behind DIY trans- and femme-centered venue SASS, they now appear with Gimme a Reason, Set de Flo, Don’t Dance Don’t Come, and as part of the t4t b3b Female Trouble.
Ksenyeah + Manguito (12AM–3AM) take over with dancefloor-first heat.
Ksenyeah, NYC-based dancer-turned-selector and co-founder of NYC Rave Girls, brings high-energy, body-driven house and techno rooted in groove and instinct — if you can’t dance to it, she won’t play it.
Manguito, a Brooklyn DJ and multi-instrumentalist, delivers globally flavored, groove-heavy sets shaped by deep community roots and pure joy. Together, their chemistry is locked, playful, and built for connection.
FOYER | 9PM–3AM
Bad Leather + Nah Mean hold it down start to finish. Bad Leather blends disco, funk, soulful hip-hop, and deep electronica with warmth and lift, while Nah Mean weaves feel-good, groove-driven selections designed to keep bodies moving and spirits high.

@ Basement FREDDY K, MOS Brace for impact: Freddy K closes out the month with an extended set. The BASEMENT resident is one of the most respected names working in techno today, as he has been for over three decades. Active since the early ‘90s, Freddy K helped shape the genre in his home country, and by extension, across Europe. A master of vinyl, the essence of techno is etched in his DNA. What sets him apart is his eagerness to evolve with the times, always staying true to the music’s revolutionary spirit. Freddy K is as close to a guru as techno can get. Come learn from the master. He’s joined by a worthy disciple. Mos represents the next generation of DJs. Over the last few years, the NY artist has emerged as an artist with an ability to craft a compelling, cohesive arc through broad terrain. This is a name to watch.
The Carry Nation steps back into the room for the first time this year. The duo is nearly peerless, an institution unto themselves operating with complete authority and impunity. No one plays house music quite like these two, and their mastery has made them one of the most beloved units in America today. They’re joined by Kim Ann Foxman, another household name for house heads. One of the founding members of Hercules and Love Affair, Foxman has devoted herself unconditionally to the dancefloor, cultivating a discography of sublime acid and synth-heavy anthems. Manu Miran completes the picture with a couple hours of unrelenting naughtiness. Miran is currently one of the best filth-slingers in NYC, pushing his sets into unbridled prurience. | Price TBA

@ Basement SALOME, PEACHLYFE, SISTER ZO Salome returns to BASEMENT for her first set of the year. A key resident of Herrensauna, Salome matches the expansive, edgy technoid sounds of her crew with a hard, lean and crushing interpretation of electro. Indeed, she told RA “When I first heard electro, I had an epiphany.” But Salome doesn’t paint herself into a corner. The Georgian-born, Berlin-based artist weaves a complex tapestry that cannot be pigeonholed. Peachlyfe contorts club sounds into fascinatingly twisted shapes. The Copenhagen artist is at the forefront of a generation that’s reinterpreting trance, psy, prog and more through a lens of post-deconstructed club. Tracks like “Return of the Wasp Waist / Calling All My Hoes” are prime examples of truly alien music. In their own words, they make tracks “that shouldn’t make sense, but do, pulling chaos into something weirdly anthemic.” Sister Zo’s unique sound wraps the propulsion and linear clarity of techno around the twisted chassis of modern bass music. Or perhaps it’s the other way around. Her releases on Martyn’s 3024 and elsewhere breathe with spacious ease while pummeling you with some of the heaviest low end on the books today.
DJ Gigola is back in STUDIO. One of the main Live From Earth affiliates, Gigola has embodied the label’s rulebook-shredding approach as well as anyone. She can rinse a room for all its worth, or take you on a deep dive into a “fluid mediation.” In her hands, it’s all good. Last year’s “Bigroom Sensual II” captures her in a peaktime moment, with rubbery synths and giant, HD climaxes that send the dancefloor to the highest heights. Meilgaarden is a kindred spirit, capturing a stylish iteration of some of the cheekiest sounds in the club music canon. Trance, proggy house and rolling, techy grooves bleed together with a breezy, hypnotic power. Tunnel founder OZA makes the trip from Los Angeles. A key proponent of queer nightlife in his hometown, OZA embraces a full-throttle sound heavy on cutting edge club sounds. | Price TBA

@ Dead Letter No.9 Truce Recordings and Soulfecta come together for a night rooted in legacy, lineage, and the living pulse of house music. From Detroit to New York and far beyond, this is a celebration of deep grooves, shared history, and dance floors built with intention.
CARGO: Alton Miller, Benny Soto, CTRLZORA, Bev, Drew&U
Detroit icon Alton Miller anchors the night with decades of hi-tech soul, blending house, funk, and deep musical heritage shaped at the legendary Music Institute and on dance floors worldwide. NYC mainstay Benny Soto brings a lifetime of dancefloor wisdom born from Paradise Garage–era energy and years shaping the city’s most influential parties. Chicago’s CTRLZORA bridges Midwestern dance music and the African diaspora, channeling house, techno, jazz, and global rhythms into sets grounded in Black and queer lineage, healing, and collective power. Bev and Drew&U round out the room with a shared approach that balances technical precision, deep house, funk, and exploratory grooves shaped by New York’s underground.
FOYER 9PM–3AM: Commissioner Gordon Williams, DJ Delly, AG (nyc)
Multi-Grammy Award–winning producer and Bronx native Commissioner Gordon Williams brings rare depth and musical intuition to the decks, joined by Queens selector DJ Delly’s rhythm-forward, vinyl-minded grooves and AG (nyc)’s global, Latin-tinged house sound shaped between NYC and Medellín.

@ Basement FRANÇOIS X, COTTON, JUNO After a year-long hiatus, Dweller returns in 2026.

| Price TBA
